Project Overview

Detailed georeferenced photogrammetric survey campaign aimed at the assessment of the conservation state and structural condition of a historic masonry tower characterized by significant height and complex accessibility conditions.

The project focused on the identification and monitoring of potential structural anomalies, crack patterns, localized degradation phenomena, and instability indicators affecting the masonry facades and vertical structural elements.

High-resolution datasets were processed to support detailed diagnostic analyses related to static distress, long-term conservation, and future structural stabilization interventions.

Particular attention was dedicated to AI-assisted anomaly detection workflows, enabling semi-automated recognition and classification of cracks, material detachments, surface degradation, and discontinuities within the masonry texture.

The integrated digital environment supports historical comparison of defect evolution and provides a scalable foundation for predictive maintenance and monitoring strategies commonly adopted in the conservation of historical masonry structures and towers. (Rif. Ingenio)

The generated datasets constitute a technical basis for future safety assessments, restoration planning, seismic vulnerability evaluation, and structural consolidation projects aimed at preserving the architectural and historical value of the structure over time.
