Project Overview
As-built survey of the reinforced concrete cast-in-place chimney structure of the Termini Imerese Turbogas Power Plant.
The project involved the creation of an inspection-oriented Digital Twin aimed at supporting structural assessment, maintenance planning, and management of a strategic energy infrastructure characterized by complex accessibility and high operational constraints. Advanced reality capture technologies enabled the acquisition of detailed geometric and visual datasets of the entire vertical structure, supporting high-resolution inspection and degradation analysis activities.
The survey activities also supported the preparation of technical reports related to Collective Protection Systems and aeronautical visibility requirements, considering the exceptional height of the structure and its relevance within controlled airspace environments.
Particular attention was dedicated to reinforced concrete degradation mapping, enabling the preparation of a quantity-based technical specification document for concrete restoration interventions.
The generated digital environment provides a scalable foundation for future inspection campaigns, maintenance monitoring, and predictive asset management workflows.
