Project Overview
Creation of a Digital Twin and BIM model for the revamping of a tertiary-sector building with loading bays intended for conversion into refrigerated storage facilities.
The project supported a high-level logistics redevelopment process focused on transforming the existing asset into a modern, energy-efficient, and operationally optimized facility designed for advanced cold-chain logistics activities.
Through integrated reality capture technologies and BIM workflows, the existing building conditions were accurately digitized to accelerate design coordination, reduce uncertainties during construction phases, and optimize intervention planning.
The generated Digital Twin provides a “digital twin ready” environment for future architectural, structural, MEP, and logistics design activities, enabling rapid integration of new project data within a centralized and continuously updatable digital ecosystem.
The approach also supports energy efficiency strategies, optimization of loading and storage flows, predictive maintenance planning, and faster execution timelines throughout the revamping process.
